Looks like it will be awhile. When I got this bike I thought it would be a pretty simple fix, hmmm, maybe not. Now I am thinking about a month or so as I can only progress as I can afford it. I do know if I had not found this site it would have been a failed project. Starting with compression test because I have the equipment. Then valve adjustment, doesnt look like the "tool" willcost too much. Thanks to bigfitz52, could not have made it easier to understand. Seems I dont have to ask many questions just keep getting to know my way around in here and find what I need.Well good luck to the othert newbies and thanks to the rest.

Glad you are making progress, what do you need to do to get her on the road?

Need to buy carb rebuild kits, sinc tools, screwdriver set ect. to properly set the carbureters. From there I shoud go thru the brakes, this bike sat for 7 years. I should buy new idle adjustment screws having striped the head on one and spreading the slots on 2 more, I'm sure standard stuff for a first timer.

Yup pretty standard. Brakes are every important - don't forget tires too - check the age from the date stamp.

Good luck and keep us posted...
