I just got my 92 seca 2 running good again and have been taking it to work every day this last week.
I got the trip to work from 8 miles one way to 20 miles one way, lol.
I decided to take her on her first out of town trip to see how it does on the highway.
I chose to go to a friends house 50 miles away.
the day was hot ( 91 deg) and humid 80% and windy! 10 to 20 mph wind with gusts up to 30+ the ride out was uneventful and very pleasant except for the fact that I wore my deer skin leather jacket which is a very soft leather and if I zipped the zipper all the way up the jacket flapped like a flag and if I opened it up about 4 inches the jacket puffed up like a sail and made me look like the Michelin man.
I spent about an hour and a half B.S.ing with my buddy and ended up leaving his place right at dusk. I was hoping I would beat the bad weather which was forecast for the evening.
The ride home started out as a spectacular event as there was a line of thunderstorms on both sides of me and the lightening show was intense. the bugs were getting pretty bad and I was thinking I should stop and clean my visor.
I drove about a quarter of the way and stopped to make a phone call and just as I hung up the phone it started to rain. I had to drive about 4 miles in the rain (with no rain gear) and then I got ahead of the rain and stayed dry the rest of the trip.
all in all it was a fantastic day for a ride and the bike performed flawlessly. now I just have to get the bug goo off my helmet and leather jacket.
It is good to be riding again!

    Sounds awesome!

Last night we side-skirted a thunderstorm too, pretty cool watching the lightning on one side, and the nice sunset on the other.
