shaft drive probs

    hi looking for some advice before i start stripping after a years build and my first bike meeting on my way home i lost drive .shaft is turning but wont drive back wheel any ideas iam prepared for worst there was no warning or noise just moved up gear and then nothing

    seems like a lot of metal would have to go away for that to happen and no noise is strange, did you have any parts left over?

    found out what it was the four inch extension on shaft had snapped . i was confused because when i wheeled bike it turned and because of no noise i thought it was some thing else . but now i have a new prob it is not charging battery thanks for reply
