So I just got my forks back from the place that was replacing the fork seals and I re-installed them. The front caliper took some gentle wiggling to get back on, which I assume is normal as it took the same wiggling to get it off the tire. I went ahead and rotated the wheel a few times to make sure there were no problems, and of course there was. The front caliper seems to be very lightly scraping on the front disc. Not much, but enough to be heard and enough to feel the extra force when turning the wheel.

Is this a normal thing to happen when the caliber taken off and put back on? I imagine the the wear patterns on the disc align to the original position of the caliper and now that it was removed and replaced they don't line up. Is this what's happening?

I just don't want to get on the road and have the front break seize or something. Better safe than face first on the pavement.

lightly rubbing is normal. You can tell if the "rubbing" is too much if you take it for a ride (not just to the end of the block) and then come back and feel the temperature of the brake rotor. If you burn your fingers you need to rebuild your caliper(s).

The caliper rubbing is not normal. Loosen up the pinch bolts and pull your fork tubes about a 1/16" apart.

Dont forget to tighten back up :)

Even better: Loosen the axle pinch bolts and the axle itself. Snug them all back up. Take the bike off the stand and BOUNCE the front end a few times. Tighten the axle nut to the correct torque. BOUNCE the front end a few more times. Then torque your pinch bolts. Then check the brake.
