    I don't understand this question?

Do you mean that the Gears are 'Covered' with something?
I'm not sure what you mean.

Not moving at all, ... or ... not able to shift up or down?

If it's ... not able to shift ... the news will be bad; but not s bad as if the Tranny is buggered from abuse.

You'll need to provide more information: what does "stacked" mean?

The 600 is like the 550s, so it's not going to be the "chunk of primary chain guide fell in the drum" syndrome like the shaft-drive bikes.

The first place to start is your shifter mechanism itself. Most of that is located behind the clutch, behind the clutch cover on the right side of the bike. (The shifter shaft just crosses over from the left.) If you put the bike on the sidestand and pull the clutch cover you can see the mechanism. To gain enough access to work on it, you'll need to pull the clutch also.

If the shift mechanism is OK, then you're looking at a much deeper teardown to diagnose the transmission or shifter forks/drum. Start with the shift mechanism.

called someone they I explained what's wrong with bike. he said some thing has jammed 3ed and up . or something has broken in transmission. To make it not shift. I have a list of parts that the bike needs and a shifter is one of them.. (MODERATED)*** rigged shifter that’s on the bike. but if I can shift to first and second shouldn't I be able to shift to third ?

(*** Please don't allow that word to appear again.)

Hmmm. Been riding and wrenching bikes for 44+ years and never heard that one. Thanks for clearing that up. I would still check the shift mechanism before I accepted anyone else's diagnosis.

I have heard the term "stacked" gears used to describe the situation when you try to shift gears without applying motor (e.g. bike sitting still), and after one or two shifts it is no longer possible to shift anymore. A small amount of power from the motor will normally turn the transmission enough to allow one to continue shifting.

I have experienced that! On a couple of occasions, I ended up parking with it still in 3rd gear, having come to a stop while coasting, and forgetting to downshift. Trying to start the next time, I had "checked" to make sure it was in first before I started the bike. it wasn't starting from a stop well (gee, I wonder why) and was trying to stall. I tried down shifting and found it would now down shift. Really threw me for a loop for a minute.

I had the similar problem just the other day. I was coming to a stop light. Started to downshift but it wouldn't shift lower than 3rd gear. Came almost to a complete stop. Gave it more throttle and more clutch and got moving a little faster. Shifted in to 4th and so on. Never had a problem after that.Shifted just fine.
