Someone measure this please

    Front master cylinder seemed bound up on it's pivot bolt. Pulled the thing off to clean up the pivot.

    On reassembly I realized that the assembly is missing item #8 (Washer) in the diagram
    and causing the pads to bind against the pad retaining pin.

    I'll source a washer at the hardware store.

    Could someone measure the gap between the top of the master cylinder and the mounting bracket so I know how thick to go?

    That diagram is for a front caliper. Is it the caliper or master cylinder you're asking about?

    DOH! Yes, I am in fact referring to the caliper. And I read the post 3 times.....
