Hey everyone. I am trying to get the mainjet out of my carberator. When I turn the brass screw it just keeps turning around the top. Now I have already destroyed this main jet; however, I would like to not do it again and would still like to get the destroyed one out. How do you get the screw to unscrew when the whole jet turns?

you need 4 hands, put a wooden dowel (1/2 or 3/8 inch) down through the top onto the top of the emulsion tube ( it should only stick up about a inch), turn the carb upside down and push the carb down so the dowel pushes up on the emulsion tube, now try

Also look on the side of the column there should be a pin that holds the tube from spinning. Sometimes they ride out or even fall out. You may be able to push the pin back in or put something in there to hold it.

None of mine have pins. That stinks. Can we get these from somewhere?

They don't all have pins. If there are no holes for pins getting some won't help.

The emulsion tube is spinning with the jet you're trying to twist. I usually just put my finger on the emulsion tube and press it down and then turn the jet. I got the same prob :)
