Luke had The FORCE and Old Ben, Ive got...You Guys!

Ok. In my panic over my shim problem I set something into motion. I had called a guy about another Maxim to possibly use the engine as a donor. He wanted $650 at the time....well then you guys calmed me down.

Thursday I got a call from him asking if I was still interested. I told him that I wasnt as bad off as I thought. He said 'Well Im going to get kicked out if I dont pay my landlord something by Monday. How about $375?'

So anyway, Im going to pick the bike up this morning....what Im wondering is he says its an 80 650 maxim. According to what I can tell from the VIN 4h7004559 its an 81 and in the past someone has put a different front end on it (dual disc brakes).

So long story (too late) short. Whatta you guys think it is from that VIN and Ill have pics of it up this weekend after I get it home

Well got the bike home. Had to ride it across town. Ran out of gas just as I was pulling in to my driveway. Ill get pictures posted this weekend...too darn hot right now.... *PANT*
