XJ 550 Seca test in Two Wheels magazine

    Attached test appeared in the May '82 issue of Two Wheel magazine. An Australian publication I believe. Their bike had the twin disk option on the front that was not sent to North America. I hope you can read this. Sure makes these bikes good.

    I think I've done 100 mph on mine. Speedo only goes to 85.

    Does anyone else think the stock faring is ugly?

    YES. (Check my gallery.) I think it clashes with the lines of the bike. It also makes the front end heavy and affects steering and "flickability," IMO.

    My speedo now goes to 150; it's easy to break 100 since 8 grand in 5th is well over 90...
