This bike runs and drives great. I don't have the time to use it this year and it kills me to see it sitting still. The XJ was considered the first production race bike of it's time. With dual front disc brakes and the first computer system on a bike the XJ became a widely sought after bike. When I bought this bike last year it was in un-running condition. I disassembled the carbs and cleaned everything meticulously, replacing many parts as I went along. I changed the old glass type fuse panel for blades (those of you who know XJ's know how great that is lol). I've ridden this bike a good amount this year and know it is in fine running condition. However. When I got the bike so much of it was rusted and the paint was faded, chipped and in otherwise poor condition. I was able to clean up the metal and now all metal parts shine (no more rust problem). I also tried to powdercoat the front fender and the gas tank. I tried this on my own with a powdergun from Harbor Freight and an old oven. The fender came out great but the gas tank did not come out 'perfect'. This may just be me being anal however because all of my buddies considered it a success. I'm pretty firm on the price because I know what a sought after bike this is. Let me know if your interested!!

I'm located in Barrington RI. We can discuss delivery if necessary.

NOTE- I realize this picture is now of poor quality. I'm not very computer saavy and I found it VERY challenging to get the picture into acceptable size. I've got a few more pictures so if your interested let me know....

I noticed you said you were pretty firm on the price, but I didn't see a price. Maybe if you gave us a price you were looking to get out of it, a few more people would look at it

I just bought the same year/model, if I hadn't, I'd be all over this one. It's a beautiful bike btw....

Wow, I did forget to put the price huh? lol. Well i'm looking to for $1000. But make some offers and I'll let it go for a reasonable price. It really is such a shame watching it sit there.

P.S.- My little signature thing at the bottom is old news. When I first got the bike Rickomatic and I spent so many hours troubleshooting problems and everytime I fixed something another problem would pop up. Now, however, it's virtually problem free. Just has a warning light that is constantly triggered by a battery level go-around that the previous owner wired in.... So this bike is NOT a "nothing but trouble". Thanks.

Throw in a nice running 2005 or newer Minivan and deliver both to Kansas and I'll give you up to $10,000 :)
