how hot should the voltage rectifier get?

    I was just wondering how warm or hot the rectifier should get.On my X it gets realy warm but everything works and charges ok.

    I may be the only person who could answer this ... (just kidding ... but) ... it does get hotter than we would ever expect ... yes. Its too hot to touch, but not hot enough to get water to sizzle ... ~150-200 F.
    Its a heat sink and I guess itss sinking it ... :lol:

    Mine would get pretty hot. One thing to check is the wiring harness and connections. Make sure it has not started melting.

    Another time I noticed it was hotter than the 'normal' hot and found a wire that had lost connection. If everything looks good with the harness and connections, it should be OK. You just want to make sure you don't have a short in the harness or bad connection contributing.
