How much choke do you use for your bikes?
My 750 Seca don't like much choke at all for startups, just a bit. I get it off the choke quickly and have to blip the throttle. Full choke fouls up the plugs pronto!
My 550 Seca likes full choke for startup and has a typical warm up, but you have to get on the road soon with a little choke on, or the plugs will foul.
My Suzuki GS1100G likes full choke, and I ease it off normally as it warms up, then it will idle fine off choke until I'm ready to go.

All bikes are different, it's just what works best & can depend on the state of tune, climate ect.

My 550 is about like your 550. She requires a fair bit of warm up before she'll purr at the stop signs. Of course, the longer I ride her the smoother she runs. Doesn't like to be left unridden for long periods either.

If she's been sitting more than a few days I turn the petcock to Pri for a few seconds and she starts right up with about 80% choke.

My 550 Seca is the dame as yours. it needs full choke to start although I move it down to about half choke and let it run on fast idel for a minute or so, then move it down as I ride away.

Both my 550 Secas are pretty much the same; full choke to start, then I go to halfway almost immediately; let it warm up as I'm putting on helmet and gloves, turn it down a bit if it starts racing, and then ride away.

I usually take it off the rest of the way within a few blocks, maybe a mile.
