Count me in. I've been chatting with kyrrinstoch offline, he said to let him know and he should be in. I know 1 other who may be interested in riding with as well. I'll pm you with the details tomorrow afternoon when I know more.

Since neither of us heard back from PainterD, VirtualRider and I decided to head on out anyways. It was too nice of a day not to spend it out riding.

We got together at my place in St. Paul about 10:30, then rolled out about 11 headed for Hastings. We followed the route for the Flood Run, going from Hastings all the way down to Winona, then crossed over to Wisconsin and came up Wi-35.

Since my wife and I are collecting points for the HOG's ABC's of touring, we made stops in Hastings, Red Wing, Wabasha, Winona, Alma and Pepin for photo's, leg stretches and the obligatory smoke breaks. We grabbed lunch at Liberty's in RedWing and the only fuel stop we made was in Winona, right about the halfway (133mi) point.

Total round trip was about 250 miles and took us about 7.5 hours with all 7 photo stops, a fuel stop, lunch and some brief shopping at the Winona HD dealership. Mapquest had the straight through trip at about 5.5 to 6 hours with no stops, so overall I think we made good time on the trip.

We're planning getting together for another ride again soon and anyone who wants to join us would be more than welcome. We're thinking of running St. Croix Trail/Mn-95 up from Hastings/Prescott to Stillwater, then on to Taylors Falls. It's a much shorter run (~60 miles and 90 minutes non-stop) but has LOTS of twisty roads and some really nice scenery.

I hope you got my PM I sent Kyrinnstoch. SOrry I didn't make it. If I'd known you'd be leaving so late, I could've made it by 11:00 I guess. No biggie.
I'll make a special effort to be sure to come down for the next ride. Sounds like a good one! >PD<

PainterD, no, I didn't get your PM. I just checked and don't have anything recent from you. Did you get the spelling of my screen name correct?

Mn-Maxims, we'll do what we can to keep folks posted. At this point it's still in the idea phase. As much fun as it is to ride single or with another rider, it could be fun to get a larger group together.

PainterD, I received a PM from you, but didn't get around to checking Saturday morning before the ride. Sorry you couldn't make it. Hope everything is ok on your end of the world.

I had a great time riding with Kyrrinstoch down to Winona, the bike performed great especially after changing the oil the night before. I am giving very serious consideration to replacing the seat on the 550Seca, 28 year old seat foam just isn't as cushy as it used to be. Having the 1 hour numb butt syndrome really sucks.

It was a beautiful day for riding and some gorgeous scenery, I am looking forward to the next trip.
