Ok I have had my m2 since october 2007 so it is now time to run the M test.

What is involved with it and if you fail the road test do you get a retest?

You can get a retest but you have to wait. Even longer since the testers just went on strike :(

New member here. Was just looking around at doing a bobber project but haven't decided on a bike yet. Back and forth right now between an 81 maxim 550, 78KZ750twin and 82 KZ750

I would like to get a 650 maxim but don't seem to be any around at a decent price.

Anyway about your M test basically you book your appointment at a driver exame center, then they will give you an ear piece and a huge radio to tuck inside your jacket somewhere, then they will follow you around, a driver and an examiner with them. The examiner tells you where to turn. You hear them in your ear piece but they can't hear you. You will probably get on the highway twice (if there is a highway near you) and then they may have you get off the bike and do a walk around as if you were broken down, and then around residential strees, business section and then back. Test is about 20 minutes. If you fail you still keep your M2 and you just book another one and pay the fee again.

Do a search on gtamotorcycle.com and you will find a wealth of info, as well as maps and routes that are commonly used by testers.

Something i wanted to add quick. You can refuse to do the 400 series during your M exit test. Some testing centers aren't close enough to have the 401 or 400 close enough to drive on, so it's only fair if you are able to refuse to do the 400 series portion.

They CAN NOT fail you for asking for the refusal to drive on the 401.
Can't find the link of course, but i think it was on that gtamotorcycle.com site.
