Hello all. Im new to XJs (bought my first bike last night) and had a quick question. I have an 81 XJ750 Seca and it has an aftermarket tach and speedo on it. What is the redline supposed to be at on my bike?? The tach goes up to 15,000 but I think its more like 9000. Thanks.

    Hey Jon,

I believe the redline for that model is 9500 rpm and the original gauge peaked out at 12k. Hope this helps!

Just a tip. May help in long run to use actual subject in header (e.g. redline specs XJ550), as it will help others to identify your problem, or in future may assistance someone else who has a similar problem to find the answer.

There are so many posts, the subject header becomes an important resource.

I am also a noob, and desperately hoping someone can find me a spare brake rotor. Good luck.

    Scott J
