    ok I have a beater turbo, and it runs great on the road, wanna ask about , does anyone else that have one?

    I am pretty sure there are a couple guys here that have one. I just can't remember who, though.

    I have two turbo's one is a part's bike that was given to me, the other I paid $400 bucks for. Wish I would have been given the parts bike first, would have saved me lots of money getting my turbo on the road. Mine is probably like yours, beater and shows every one of those 26 years of age. But I wouldn't trade it for anything. Wound up being a very nice sport tourer, just needs a better seat.

    I need a new seat also, but yea this bike is a total "blast" on the highway/backroads, literally

    I'm about to start rebuilding my friend's 650 Turbo with 25K miles... Gonna block off the waste gate, rebuild the carbs, brakes, recover the seat, replace steering head bearings, paint, whatever else comes up...

    research blocking off the wastegate before you do it. . but that bike is tons better tan mine. as it still has the hard to find items like chin spoiler and mirrors. Good luck and keep us posted on the progress
