Wow, I'm one year old, today! Amazing to think it was only a short twelve months ago I wandered in through the front door of this place. To look back and think how little I knew back then and how much I've learned from all the great contributors to this awesome web site. We are all so fortunate to have at our disposal the brain trust that is XJBikes.com. I want to extend a heartfelt Thank You! to all of you for the help and friendship you've shown me over the past twelve months. It really has been appreciated.

It's funny how plans change and people come and go. I suppose it happens in real life so why shouldn't it happen in cyber space, too? This summer was suppose to be filled with a whole new set of How-To's written but the weather this summer has been absolutely miserable. Even as I type this, I'm listening to rain falling for the fifth straight day in a row. It's suppose to be best time of the year and all we've gotten is rainy and cool. I guess this is where I cast my eyes into that future place and wonder for next year. We'll see.

Anyway, Happy XJ B-Day to me! :D Now, let's see what this next year brings! 8)

Hey, Jeff. If you're available and want to go for a bit of a scoot, meet April and I at Ike's for breakfast at 8am, Sunday. We'll also be meeting a couple others there from CARQUEST and after breakfast we're all heading up to the Diablo area. You're more than welcome to join.

It's My XJ Birthday, again. I'm two!

Happy birthday to me, happy birthday to me, happy... well, you get where this is going.

Two years in the can. I was just rereading the comments from last year's post. A lot has happened in the last twelve months. First and foremost is the loss of Bill. If you scroll up, you'll see he was the first to respond to the original post. I sure do miss his input. :(

On a lighter note, I had to laugh when I read my grumbling about the crap weather we had last year. This year the weather has been awesome. How many How-To's did I get done with all that nice weather? Just one.

But! But, we finally put together a meet up of XJs in the Northwest. That, in and of itself, is a milestone! So the last year hasn't been a total loss for accomplishments.

And the riding... the sights seen and the places visited this year! Oh, it's been great. I'm reminded of the quote by Roy Batty in Blade Runner...
experienced over the handlebars of my XJ. I wouldn't trade it for anything.

So, Happy XJ Birthday to me and a huge Thank You! to our great XJ Bikes.com community for making it possible! Until next year, ride safe everyone! 8)
