I think his wife wanted him to get rid of it. He priced it so high nobody would buy it so he can keep it.

Especially for a bike that needs parts & labour to get it running right again!
Tires, stand, and electrical work - and that's just what he's admitted to.

Think I'm going with the "priced so high no one will bid" theory....

Maybe he got the decimal misplaced. 480.00, that should be the starting price.

HA HA, maybe he will take my '80 XJ as a "Clunker" on trade in for a $4000 credit.

Or maybe the "Top Politician" promised hope for a sale.

Or old school, one presidential hopeful theme song "I've got High Hopes"

What, $4800? that's chicken feed for a bike like that! Wat's the matter with you people!!! I'd bid DOUBLE that amount just to be able to say I own this bike.

Sheesh... you bunch of cheapskates... you don't know how good this bike is....

Agreed... $480 is about top dollar for the bike. I look forward to his re-listing

I think $480 is a good starting point, I'd probably pay up to $800 or $900 for it. If I were in the market for another project!
