I'm bobberizing an 82 XJ650. The leftovers will go on here first and then what's left will go on e-Bay.

Oh yeah! This is my first post. Bought the bike for $750, has good tires and 39,xxx miles on it. The oil was low so added some Dollar General oil "the good stuff - SF -" some 80w in the shaft drive, and the air filter foam was dust so I cut some furnace filter to fit. I will spare no cost to treat this baby right!

That price seems alittle high. I wanted $100 for my complete parts bike and it has all you have and more. Most of the guys that are working on these bikes are on a tight budget, I know I was. Thats why we are riding 30 year old bikes instead of new ones, unless we just want to restore something.

thanks for the input ,how bout you sell yours and leave mine to me the price is $70 which includes the shipping that i will take from the $70 dollars,so not much being made on my end either,but again why do want to hijack my post to advertise yourself not real cool in my book

It is interesting that at first these parts were marketed as free with only the shipping cost, and as the thread goes along one can see the progression of interest in the parts and how it consistantly raised the prices.

Quite the opposite, actually I have found this to be an excellent place where honest people are trying to build good bikes for the sport that we all enjoy, I'm merely observing what everyone can see XJRookie. Perhaps you may ponder what makes you so defensive about the issue. Cussing me won't change the fact that you've raised your asking prices, and it won't change other peoples' ability to see it either. I post a response because I'm able to, you posted onto a forum of your peers, it may have been a little short sighted to think you wouldn't actually have to deal with observations from your audience. You guys, I've never seen this kind of behavior from any of you. some real frequent users seemingly turning into complete opposites, look this guy's trying to sell parts off his bike, at a very reasonable rate, I think I have over 70 bucks in 3 parts for my bike exactly the same as hes selling but seca model. Dont hijack his for sale thread with your stuff for sale, its disrespectful, how often do you see commercials playing then another commercial steals their airtime? Make your own thread.
I would be pissed too if people were hijacking. Also he's dealing with people saying they'll buy it, but dont. I hate that for sure, had it lots of times with my Husqvarna. he's just tryin to get some money back from his project, wouldn't you? he's giving you a chance for all those parts at a great price, or else theyll go into the dump thus losing more parts that dwindle in numbers as teh days go by.
