I just painted my bike this week. The graphics are based on XJ decals but are painted on, candy red and silver were standard colors for this bike.

Wow, that came out really good. Only thing i would have done differently is the yamaha emblem in silver and the grab bar behind the seat in black. But it looks great. What kind of paint did you use? Cost?

PPG urethane base and clear. They sell it as small as 1 pint. Only bought the maroon and and silver $37 for those. I had enough epoxy and sandable primers, red and clearcoat left over from 2 other bikes, so figure in another $40.

Seeing a paint job like that makes me wish I had that kind of talent! That bike has a sweet style all it's own. Nice looking ride!! Too bad you don't live in my area so, I could ply you with beer or your favorite adult beverage and talk you into doing mine :D Nice job!

    Cheers

Thank's for all the good comments Guys!
On the 550 Seca there's a stripe around the seat across the tail piece that looks good, but the 550 has no grab bar.

Because of the grab bar on the 750, a stripe across the tail piece would not work, so I painted the bar as I would have done a stripe, and I like the result.

That bike is f***in' hot, man.

I love the paint, I would still redo the gauges and light though. :D
