I am looking at getting a custom tank built and they need some info:
frame manufacturer - backbone stretch - down tube stretch (if any) and neck rake.
I'm looking for something a bit bigger, so i don't have to make as many frequent stops at the gas station

a custom tank sounds awesome. the only concern I have for this are these bikes dont have a normal backbone. They have a sort of half back bone reinforced by two smaller side bones. Also the front of the tank slides onto two rubber mounts. Not a well thought out design but it works. Might be easier to send them the old tank so they can get what they need? Hope this helps.and I apologize if you already knew this.

Why not put your bike in a van, take it to a breakers and try on tanks till you find one you like.
Mine is a Suzuki marader tank, i also know honda cx500 custom tanks wil work, the other way forward is to cut the tank of your choice in half, widen it to span the spine and weld it back together
