Has anyone done a fender elemination on a Seca?

I don't mean cutting down the OEM part, but actually replacing it.

I was out looking at mine today, and it seems like I'd have to make a "U" shaped part that connected the rear frame horns and supported the tail light. Then I count moutn the blinkers and plate off of that support and have a nice and clean ass-end.

I don't care to cut down the fender, because chopping up OEM parts on these bikes is a total waste.

Thanks. Not exactly what I'm looking for, tho'

I'd like to keep the seat stock, and I've got an idea on how to make a eliminator "kit" I just need to work out some measurements.

Why would anyone want to eliminate the fender?

Looks. The plastic fender hanging down to the mid-line of the rear wheel is fugly.

But I don't want to cut up a "can't get this anymore" part that's in good condition.
