Header wrap

    is there a "trick" to installing header wrap ? besides patience...?

    Soak it first. When you wrap it wet and it dries, it'll tighten up to the pipes and become fairly solid. I also suggest doing it twice. Frist, do a quick loose wrap while the wrap is dry, add 8 to 10 inches to this length and then soak it for a minute. Wrap it good and tight using hose clamps to hold it in place... repeat.

    If you're using black header wrap, you'll want to paint over it with black hi-temp or it will quickly turn grey.

    Can you paint it? If so, that's cool and I'll paint mine this winter. I thought you could only spray it with the hardening solution that they try to sell you with it.

    I painted over mine with the DEI echaust paint summit racing had on the same page as the wrap. It's heat cure paint so the first few rides draw alot of attention from other traffic... maybe it's a new safety feature?

    Depends on how much you ride. Ride a hundred miles everyday and it'll probably last a couple of weeks.
