    Picked-up my 1986 XJ700 on Wed night.
Took it out on Thursday and after engine warmed up she idled at 3000rpm. Got it back home and adjusted the idle screw.
Well Friday rolls around and took a nice stroll around town and she idled at 1000RPM and just purred.
With 60miles under my belt and my new bike. I am so glad I got my license and bought this bike.
Thank goodness I wear a full face helmet because people will think I am the joker with my smile while riding :)
Well tommorrow we are going to give her a good bath and degrease. Then a wax and polish some chrome.
And of coarse a nice ride around.
This site has been so helpful.

Question: should I run some seafoam through the next tank of gas to clean anything that might be lurking. I do not have any issues but just as a precaution.

    Thanks
    Brian

the seafoam shouldn't hurt anything. I run some though mine once a month or so.

On 2 wheels... just lost my hat.
    The joker reference is awesome!

I use it every couple months or so.... seems to help it along.
if you want, get it in the carbs and let them sit for about 20 minutes or so

I made a post in another thread on how I do it. seems to work well.
just search for seafoam and you will find mine and how I do it
