Has anyone tried installing a bikini fairing (like the one pictured) on their XJ700 Maxim? If so, do you have pictures? I have an 85, and wonder how it would look. I do quite a lot of freeway riding, and It would help keep the wind from pounding my chest, and I don't like the look of a full windshield, so that's out.

    Thoughts?

I just don't think it will look good.

I can't picture it either, but it was suggested, so I thought I would post it and get some opinions. I really don't want a windshield on it though.

Get a small removable windshield. Take it off when you are just cruisin.

    That's a clean looking bike, BTW !!

Not the same as the one in the picture but it might help. I don't like the looks of it, but it works well.

this one is a "spitfire" my buddy Scott has the same one only slightly tinted but I little the clear one because when it's clean you can barely see it! I only used it on the highway because I didn't feel it was needed in the city but it did make a huge difference, I'm not sure where to get it but i see them all the time and they are easy to get on and off, hope this helps

when i bought my maxim it came with a Vetter Quicksilver fairing. Although i thought it was hideous it did block ALOT of wind
