So I had my tank off for paint for a few months now, just got it back (looks awesome!), put the tank back on and started the bike up. I noticed a pinging in cylinder 1 and when I tried to take it around the block, a lot of smoke poured through the header. I immediately brought her home and killed the engine. Any ideas or what I can do? Thanks guys!

From my phone conversation with him, my mechanic thinks I blew a piston....

Could be a valve stuck open after standing so long, check the compression.

So I got some good news, a mechanic took a look at her in my garage and said no problem with the engine, just the header gasket out of that cylinder. A few dollar gasket and I'm back in business!!
