Just because, if for no other valid reason: http://www.carbtune.co.uk/microturn.html

It will actually come in handier setting the Norton's ignition timing than it will trying to use it on my XJs carbs; but who cares?

    It's bloody COOL!

They ought to send me one of those baby's for free!

I've been trying to let everybody know that the Edge they want to tune too is within the thickness of a Dime or a Nickel.

This tool gets down to 1/2000 of an inch.

That things pretty cool. You could buy a cheapo 2-3 mic, cut off the stationary side, and grind down the end. I'm not sure it would be any cheaper though.

Unless held in a fixture, it introduces several degrees of inaccuracy by holding the housing by hand. It's a toy, like a scope on a pool stick.

I don't know what the smallest increment is I have ever "Tweaked" a Pilot Mixture Screw; but I'm sure it was considerably more than 1/2000.

I'm not sure that even the smallest Tweak would be that small.

That "Tool" is for REAL, right, ... not a "Gag" somebody made-up!

Very true. You gotta admit it's cool though-- in concept.

Rick, yes, it's for real; the Carbtune/ColorTune folks are offering it.

I think you had it right the first time.

However, maybe it uses GPS so that the movement of your other hand wouldn't affect the reading...

I just knew Rick would want one.
