That's the bike count on a group ride I participated in today. Total distance was 125 miles thru Missouri wine country with two stops for refreshments.

The Seca didn't miss a beat and had plenty of power to keep up and climb the hills without having to downshift too many times. This was the first group ride I participated in and the first real ride I took the Seca on. It didn't let me down!

The bike garnered a lot of attention and I had to answer a lot of questions about it's age and it's good condition. One Harley guy said he remembered the XJ's and their bulletproof motors. The biggest thing that struck me was everybody seemed surprised that I did the work myself. I guess they are used to taking their bikes to the shop and paying someone else to fix things.

I'm so proud of it I couldn't help posting about it.

On 2 wheels... just lost my hat.
I went on a 440 mile ride last weekend and mine was by far the oldest.
I got snickered at when I pulled up, but was praised when we got back. no one could believe I made it round trip with no issues.
while all the harley guys were checkin their oil, I was enjoying a cold drink and a smoke
    :D
