I have heard all on the forum tote this miracle product and what it does for their bikes. Of particular interest is the "jar of marbles" sound when the starter clutch starts to slip - and Sea Foams apparent fix of this problem.

Well, I occasionally have such a problem and would like to try out this Sea Foam - problem is - I can't find it anywhere! Any other Canadians out there find a source for this stuff?

    Thanks.
    Rob

Yes - UAP/NAPA apparently has it now and Canadian Tire might now have it... the issue seemed to have stemed from non-bilingual packaging which apparently they have resolved.

    I'm that good. ;)

Tell us how it goes... personal experience has been thin... I didn't see a huge change but then again I had a clean bike so what should I expect ;)

Yes I've heard of "sea Foam' it generates similar faith as did "Marvel Mystery Oil"
I've been taught to believe that if something sounds too good to be true..
    it Ain't :
Some would be surprised what the simple running of a half litre of tap water thru their carb intakes accomplishes.
Yes it's true.... the crap that spews out the tailpipe is 'educational' to say the least.
Sure, similar result can be achieved with ATF or Diesel fuel.. BUT water does not make a neighbourhood wide Smoke cloud :)
Errr do remember to keep the revs up and to add water slowly enough as to avoid any danger of hydraulic lock.. (after which you would need a new motor .)

Shure did/does too Danilo , thats what they used in the old days [ask ricko] :) , i seem to recollect a drip system , really cleans thost pots [piston tops and head] spotless sometime lookin better than new , saved a head pull.

No matter what water cooled fuel/engine one always noticed a leaky head gaskit
, the cleanest pot/s there after pullin the head.

Sounds like a spray bottle is in order for that evolution!

The effect is not immediate , it has to be over a period of time.

No claim fer invention here , What the old man did years ago on a older 80's 6cyl ford was use the windscreen washer bottle , run a line gravity fed with a simple small tap in it and ran the line to the airleaner and positioned it just above the carb inlet [1 carby on it] then adjusted the drip.

I think he even pulled the head after a few months just to look.

He was always "gunna" do a proper job even to the state of a small eclectrik pump so a full mist at full throttle and a larger bottle.

He claimed [one of the few things i'd beweive , "elmer"] , better fuel economy , better acceleration/feel of the motor and ran motor cooler and of coarse he new he could eat his dinner offa the pistons [what knowledge] :) driving down the road , i can eat dinner off the pistons , i can eat off the pistons yeh yeh yeh , BUT , he had some fun! cos bewieve it or not he IS crazier than me..

One could use fish tank stuff these days , little valves and lines ect , drip or pressurized with a fine nozzle one fer each carb or into the airbox with a mist, as danilo mentioned its not new stuff , ever noticed a high humidity day the motor runs better?.

So pull in to servo , fill er up , and check the water bottle please , could even keep a goldfish in it?..

right now its 21.9 degrees c and hail reel good and outside is white..

My 67 GTO had a small windshield wiper pump hooked up to a spray nozzle installed in the aircleaner assembly. Motor wasn't that clean, but I didn't break it down 'till years later (I removed the injector assembly when I bought it). Sounds viable but I'd still not be too happy if my motor locked up!

Just what, exactly, is the miracle ingredient, in Sea Foam, that has it being recommended to cure everything except Neuritis and Neuralgia?

It's a refined petroleum distillate; right?

Adding water is not normally danerous.. but one has to be cautious in case some read this and pour in a gallon of water :)
I use a Litre water bottle with a vac line attached to it, then attach the open end to my Saab's Intake plenum using one of the several vacuum ports. I rev it approx 3k untill the water is gone. A semi annual event, the engine runs perfectly and the piston tops are visiblly clean thru the spark holes.
In truth tho it would be tricky to get equal water distribution thru a multiple carberettor Moto Engine.. Perhaps one cyl at a Time??
