? about the brass jet removal from Hitachi carbs

    OK, so far i've got all 48 screws broke loose on the carbpack, but having trouble getting the brass jets loose because there in there nice and tight, plus im affrid of messing them up. Do they have a tool for this?

    On 2 wheels... just lost my hat.
    you might be able to do it with a shop rag and a pair of channel locks.
    just put the rag over the jet and clamp down.
    other than that, a very wide screwdriver. I have one that fit nicely in mine

    I guess a propane torch would do ha? Yeah i'd hate to have to hand over a few hundred bucks for something i can do myself, because thiese hitachi carbs to me, done realy look all that hard to mess with.

    WOW, i got them all loose WOW, even though i'll have to replace every one of them. What realy did the trick for me, is the one's that started to get messed up from useing pliers, i just took the end of the screwdriver, and used it like a chisel and tapped the jet with a hammer and they just came loose. WOW :wink:
