'81 550 Seca bogging down then stalling

    Either that or the float levels are way off. You said you replaced the float seats; did you then check/adjust the float levels using gas (the "clear tube" method?)

    I definitely cleaned the carbs till all passages were clear. I did look through each jet at a light to check for any debris and all were cleaned properly. Also, I dont think this is a petcock issue as it is brand new and I believe my vacuum line is good. My bike will rev really high with the choke lever open but will stall as soon as I start to close it. Thanks for the comments though.

    OK I'll check the levels. I appreciate all your help bigfitz. That tutorial on the valve shim job was a huge help. Crystal clear instructions. :)
