52 years young. This bike keeps me on my toes. Have 4 bikes, and this one needs the most geriatric care.

40 years old here. Sometime feel older and sometimes younger, but the wife and kids still say I am a kid because I still act like one most of the time.

    I'm 22, and my XJ is 23.

It would be interesting to see this thread as a poll, setup in 10 year brackets...like who is 16-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49 etc

    41. This is screaming for a poll. Forget the "What year is your XJ" poll, we need the "What year are you?" poll!

There IS a poll, I'll try to find it
It graphs out like a 2 hump camel.
Young guys who can't afford a nice bike,
Older guys who appreciate a nice bike.
At 46 I'm in the middle of the second hump

this would make for a great poll, that way we could see graphically the results. Mods, chance to change this to a poll and sticky it?

Me? 35, and probably a bigger kid now than ever. Now I have the money to be that kid I couldn't be before, ask my wife...my kids think I am their age.

I will soon be 61 so I guess there are two of us "mature" types on this forum. But I must confess that I am younger than my 35 year old son and I plan to keep it that way!!!

FYI this is a great forum. I pretty much restore to as new and then ride the heck out of 'em but many of you guys impress me with what you are dong with these bikes. But most of all you have taken one of Yamahas best engine designs ever and you are riding it. Using it for daily riding. I enjoy new bikes too. They are wonderful, but any motorcycle was made to be ridden. Just because it is a couple of years old doesn't mean it's a museum piece. Enjoy. Enjoy your bikes and enjoy each others company.
