Dial in those jets??

    Came across this while looking for a few other items. Looks like a great solution to re-jetting, or trying to find that perfect setup. Has anyone seen one in operation, or heard any positive/negative comments?
    Since I will be doing a complete front end rebuild this winter, figure one more project couldn't hurt (othert than the pocket book, or the skillet from the wife) :)

    Interesting! This is a good bit cheaper than the few other injection systems I've seen and appears to be relatively simple.

    Look forward to hearing some reports if anyone decides to try this out. (I'm afraid I don't have much faith in testimonials provided by the manufacturer or distributor)

    The theory sounds solid enough. Run it on the lean side and adjust up to what you need. Sounds a lot simpler than ripping out the carbs and trying different jets until you get the right combination.

    I've read a lot about them being used on dirt bikes and snowmobiles...can't say I've ever heard anyone overly excited about them. I think it's one of those things that works, but it's nothing great. I have no personal experience though so take that as you may. I'd try searching around here, someone there could probably give you good info

    Already been discussed, and the general opinion in the thread is a big thumbs-down. As others have said, I can't speak from personal experience, not having used the things.

    That thread is one of four listed when searching on the phrase "dial-a-jet". To summarize what I read:

    Supposedly it helps alleviate the lean condition through the powerband, providing a smoother throttle response. For daily riding, it might not work so well. If you're changing to pods, modifying the exhaust, or plan on going on rides where you have severe altitude changes, then it might come in handy.

    I have read a lot about them in the snowmobile forums. They seem to be used mostly in the mountains where you are traveling at different altitudes. It is suppose to adjust your jetting at different altitudes and temperatures. From what I have heard about them, you should still dial in your carbs at normal temp & altitude before you use them. I don't really see a point on a four stroke street bike. Unless you are modifying your bike, you probably will never have to rejet.

    Thanks for the inputs guys. Maybe I'll put it on the bottom of my to do list and try it if the finances hold out. Really not crazy about having to drill the carbs either.
