If anyone is interested I can throw up some pics. All offers will be considerd - who really knows how to price these things other than what it's worth to you?

Pics are now on the link. I always had problems getting them small enough for this website.

Bad time to try to sell it. My advice would be to fix and then in the spring you could probably get quite a bit more for it.

Oh yeah, don't I know it. Seems like it's a bad time for everything though ;).

I'll put pics up soon anyways - maybe someone out there is looking for a nice winter project for a spring commuter.

For those of us in the norther tier of the country, autumn has always been a time to buy bikes because the prices get deparately low (even at dealerships) and spring a good time to sell. It's not directly related to the current state of the economy, that just makes it seem worse.

You need pics because most people will see the year and not relize how good looking these bikes are unless they already know the xjs.

Sorry to tell you this, but $750 for a 550cc bike with "issues" is way to high. I recently got a XJ750 Seca with some "issues" for $400 from a guy in Shippensburg. Best advice is to keep it over the Winter while you clean the carbs and sell it in the Spring. If you really need to get rid of it, lower the price to around $400.

Yeah. You are probably right about the price.

It's really something when you don't even have enough time in life to properly sell something. Now I understand where barn specials come from. If you don't have enough time to fix or ride, you probably don't have time to sell, so things sit.
Maybe it's time to man up and look at the carbs one more time - I never poked at the idle circuit with a guitar wire, so maybe it's still plugged. Maybe the old gas. And I'm hoping the neutral problem is the usual, broken plastic blocking the shifter problem... who knows.

    Cheers.
