Lift the seat, at rear of tank in the gap under tank should be a clip, pull it towards rear of bike, (a po may have bolted it down or there may be no clip)yes with the hoses.Disconnect lead for fuel gauge. Do not put in res position fuel will flow, put it to on, lift rear of tank, wiggle it up and back.In fact its easier to remove hoses with rear of tank lifted, a little more space to work in.

Yea, what he said. Don't lift to high and sometimes they are a little stubborn the first time if its been awhile. A little side to side wiggle with the tail of the tank as you pull back with a hand on the front will free it up.

I can't seem to get the tank off my 750 seca. I know there's a clip at the base where it meets the seat, but I can't find it? Any instructions I find are super vague...

So put the petcock in the on or reserve position, disconnect the two hoses, mark them so I know where they go, and then take the tank off in the supermagical way that everyone else does?

The tank was removed when the shop cleaned/rebuilt my carbs, so it shouldn't be THAt hard.

God I'm an idiot. I removed the seat hinges to get the seat off, COMPLETELY forgetting it was just a flip up!

Reran my throttle and clutch, bike wouldn't start. so I double checked everything, and re ran it AGAIN, and it runs great now! throttle is less harsh, clutch seems a little easier (though still hard)

time to go reap the fruits of my labor with a 2 AM ride in 40 degree weather.

If your clutch is stiff, try lubing the cable with a cable luber.
