After I put it back on the bike, i emptied the oil.... it had almost a gallon in it. looks like the previous owner put way too much oil in the bike. but no worrys its back at the correct level. Now i have a new problem i hope yall can help me with on this great forum. the bike will start, however i have to put a little gas into the air filter to get it running. once it starts, it idles between 4,000 and 5,000 rpms. (very loud) eventually the bike stalls out. i cant get it to stay on! any suggestions?

First off, can you resize your pictures?

Second, I don't think the previous owner put too much oil in the bike. What was happening, was that gasoline was leaking into the crankcase via the carbs. Hopefully, you completely drained the oil and put in new oil with a new filter and didn't just lower the oil level by draining some out. Otherwise, you are running fuel diluted oil through your engine which isn't good for any of the areas the oil is supposed to be lubricating.

That flooding is caused by the carbs being dirty or varnished and allowing oil to seep past the needle seats. Some people claim it is also indicative of a bad fuel petcock which allows fuel to continue to drip into the carbs even though there is no vacuum present. So that might be another problem you have.

Not an answer, but your pics made me smile. Carbs, aerosols, beer bottles and a full ashtray! AND you're doing it inside!!! (Maybe you're just putting screws in the ashtray?)

My 2 cents- Air leaks around the carb to engine boots(which is causing the high idle), cold start enrichment circuit not properly cleaned.(which is causing the neccessary gas on air filter problem). Address these two problems and we will take it from there.
