Bar replacement XJ750rh

    Ok these 80's style covered bars with the weird angle have to go. I was thinking of putting a set of Renthal Low's on it.

    Has anyone done this? Can you mount a pair of regular 7/8" bars to this bike? I have no idea what kind of clamping system is underneath that plastic trim.

    It's a pretty normal pair of clamps. You can see them by removing the Yamaha logo piece from the middle pad, then removing the two Phillips screws that hold the pad in place.

    If you don't like the 80's styling, though, then you'll probably want to replace the headlight and instruments too...

    Seriously, what is with the rectangular lights? This is my 3rd shafty Japanese bike from the 80s and everyone one had rectangle lights.
