Looks like V-Max meets Gold Wing; or what happens when you make a power cruiser out of your touring bike platform.

Interesting but I'll bet it's a bit of a handful.

We'll be seeing that on the road.
Everybody who wants a Cruiser like the Wing without the Arm-chair and all the trinkets.
That Automatic tranny is cool. I bet the Left Control has a Paddle Shif to play with.

The CB1100R looks like what will boost sales numbers for Honda.
Surf the Honda site and look at how familiar the Engine looks.

I'm with you.To me half the fun is banging up thru the gears. Not to mention revving her up,dumping the clutch, and getting sideways

It kinda looks like a dirt bike with a gold wing motor to me.Maybe that's just because the back fender's clear up in the clouds. There's enough room back there to have 2 back wheels stacked up

Automatic? Without a clutch and gears that thing will be as boring as a moped

    Rick,
That engine does look familiar, but how about how sharp and I'll say it, "retro", the CB1100F looks. Google it. It's one bada$$ looking bike.

It'll never come here. Honda has a great worldwide lineup and we only see the junk really. Just so everyone knows, you can buy new 2009 CBR1000RR's for $6900 OTD in Tennessee right now.

I just researched the EVO6 and they said they made it that big to be a three seater. LOL. Now you can take the whole family on a cruise.

NO!!! Of course we don't dislike the idea of automatic transmission in motorcycles and here's why.

It's the natural order of things. If God had meant for motorcycles to have manual transmissions he would never have let the automatic transmission evolve!!!???

Besides, if you don't have to concentrate on all that manual shifting nonsense you have more time for scoping your GPS, fine tuning your play lists on your IPOD that is seamlessly integrated with your factory sound system, chatting with your two passengers (thanks for this one, Honda), talking on your cell phone, (hands free of course), chatting with your buddy bikers on CB or FRS, and gleaning vital information out of your on board computer system.

There you go! Absolutely infallible PROOF that motorcycles should have automatic transmissions!!!

All kidding aside, my first 4? 5? 6? motorcycles were Honda 50 step thrus with auto trannys. I was FINALLY able to move up to a Honda 65 scrambler with a manual transmission. I can distinctly remember how good it felt to FINALLY have a clutch AND to not be riding a "girls" bike. I put a lot of miles on and had a lot of fun on those old 50's though!

"When the moon is in the seventh house, and Jupiter aligns with Mars.........." Sigh for the 60's and 70's.
