Who is up for the last Friday 13th in Port Dover this year? If it’s not snowing or near freezing I will be there. We could meet up at a given place and time.

So far the long-range is looking promising -- I'm keeping the option open...

Yup - weather's looking like it's going to cooperate, so I'm planning on going. Hope I can make it with my pooched battery and all - can't afford one before then. I'll probably be heading down with the guys from my CAV group, but will be on the lookout for other XJ's!

Looks like Mother nature will give us a Friday 13th ride to Dover.
With longjohns on and an extra t shirt should be able to make it. And after this, she will sleep till spring.
    See you there Altus.

Well it was interesting 8) I don't think the PD13 planning committee was expecting the turnout though - definitely noticed the lack of vendors, food places, entertainment, etc. Also they didn't stop car traffic from the downtown area, which caused much havoc.

Hung around Timmies for a while at 1pm - didn't see anyone I recognized, and I guess no one recognized me.

All in all, a good, if somewhat chilly, riding day

I arrived at Port Dover at about 10:00 am. Thought something was up when the cagers were not stopped from going downtown. Got a good spot to park downtown not many bikes yet. As the day got warmer the more and more bikes started to roll in. It was like any PD13 in the summer. I agree with Altus the town was not prepared for the number of bikes that showed up. At about 12:00 the sidewalks were too packed to walk. So the easiest place to walk was on the road. This is when I decided it was time to leave. As I rode home my left hand was rarely on the bars as I waved at all the bikes coming into Port Dover. But it was a great day.

Got a late start. (fouled the plugs starting her). But she got going and we headed out, rolled in about 2:30. Good size crowd and as stated above, they didn't expect this many. Made our way to get our patches and they were sold out since 1. Grrrrrr Couldn't find a shirt anywhere with Nov. on it. Strolled around and checked some of the bikes out. Headed back to head out and saw few guys standing around the ol'girl and checking her rear end out. One of them has a XS1100 and was seeing how I got the bigger bags and backrest on. (moving of the lights assy.) Told him to pop on here and check it out. Wealth of info for him =) Riding back and the sun was already setting, so by tillsonberg it was almost dark. Paused in Alymer to warm the digit's up and I don't think that Timmie's has seen so many bikes at one time. There must been about 300-500 bikes there by the time we rolled out. Couldn't keep enough coffee in those pots LOL. All in all a Good time and Good ride =)

Yeah I never got a shirt for this one either - they were all gone by 2pm, with just the leftover stock from previous years left.
We bailed out just after 3pm, and made it back to London just as the sun was setting - around 5:10. Pleasant ride - definitely had to dress warm though

It did turn out as a nice day. When I left Acton I could hardly see the road from the fog and keeping the dew off my shield. But it did get better the further south I got.
Looked around for xj bikes, but the only one I saw was an 85- 750.
Left around 3 and got home at 6 in the dark, half frozen. :)
