Sorry for the way off topic question, but I recently acquired 2 stainless sink toilet "prison" toilets. Any idea what they are worth or how/where to sell them? Maybe i should just try my luck with craigslist barter section. They are the same as the one listed here PxDirect

I don't know what they are worth but if you were closer I'd buy one for the garage and retire the plastic mixed nut urinal I currently have.

I have a 3 car garage. It has a compressor with air tools, a pneumatic M/C lift, heat, A/C, DirectTV, stereo tunes and a freakin plastic nut jar for a urinal. Ain't that a b**ch!

See what they are worth for scrap. Stainless usually brings a decent price.

They are probably worth something as a novelty - maybe you know somebody who runs a bar?

That is a decent amount of stainless steel should be worth some money. I bet some of these guys could put it to good use on a bobber project?

I think they are $4,000 new, and a possible buyer would be a hard rock nightclub- - there bathrooms take a beating !

Schooter, I have no personal experience in the making of the brew (wondering how you do? 8O ) but I do have a little exerience (past) in choking down mood altering substances till I no longer cared what it was made of... Not the brightest thing I've done but what can I say I'm a product of growing up in woodstock ny during the 60s & 70s 8O

Perhaps the object could double as a punch or salad bowl... that would be comical for a party!!

that would be an awesome center piece for a party...

no, when I was around 14, I looked online how to make wine, and the first thing that came up was prison toilet wine, and it consisted of stuff like tomatoes if fruit couldnt be obtained, then they used moldy bread for yeast and so on... and you put it in a bag and put it in the toilet, flushing it every 20 minutes or so...

    gross

Let's pause for a commercial break. You're listening to WTMI -- the Way Too Much Information station.

    For the record:

The toilet is just a hiding place, and flushing is supposed to cool the bag of "swill."

It's made in a double or triple-layered plastic bag, so it can be hidden in the toilet, shower, hung up with laundry, etc., to hide it.

You can use fruit, tomatoes, potatoes, or a combo of them to get the natural "sugars" needed, and the bread scraps are for the yeast.

It takes a good month to ferment (if you're lucky and it doesn't just ROT.)

Schooter, you could make some in your dorm room if you get snowed in...

Did I mention that "flavor" as a descriptive term doesn't apply?

The best "turbo" yeast get up to 20% under ideal conditions.
You'd be lucky to get 8% or so (16 proof)

Shine is distilled. Try hiding a still in cell block "G"

Schooter should try to make "TANG" champagne :
Add yeast to tang in an old champagne bottle.
Let sit for a week, don't drink the sediment.

actually, ive been thinking about making my own wine in here.. I have an empty minifridge.. and I do fancy a good glass of wine.. and some dark beers.... if i have nothing planned on saturdays, I like to watch college football with a 4 pack of THIS

though its kinda hard to get.. I recommend it to anyone who dares to venture from macro brew beer, even though that good too..

i love how off topic this has gotten

and on a side note.... about tang champagne, we made this sunny d concentrate wine, best stuff ive ever had

TIME is right; not distilled, just fermented, think hard cider but it's more like swill. But if you haven't had an alcoholic beverage in months and months, it does work.

    It's far from yummy.

Personally I'm a big fan of Leinenkugel Red. That should be easy to find where you are, Schooter. http://www.leinie.com/home.htm

haha, just saw this thread. In my rowdy younger days I had the great displeasure of spending the night next to one of these, at least I had 3 mats under me since I was bigger than everyone else there. These actually wouldn't be bad for hooking up in a shed where space is limited.
