Just filling out my Christmas wish list. Which style of spark plug gapping tool do you prefer. Is it the wire or the wedge type?

Wire for plugs; metric blade for valve clearances.

I like the spark-plug feeler sets that have the little electrode-bending tool.

I highly recommend the wire gauge for the spark plugs, far more accurate. Sears sells a nice tool that includes a fair range of wire gauges plus blades and an electrode bending attachment. Yours for less than $10. Wedge type gauges are not the most accurate given that you must ensure that you read the gap at exactly the same point each and every time. Don't need to worry about that with the wire. No ambiguity with those.
