Front Suspension

    After 1 1/2 hours removing the 2 handlebar bolts, and a nervous time too working slowly and with heaps of penetrating oil, I was able to get access to the fork cap bolts and drain the oil and measure the spring.

    Now the question is the original XL supplement manual says spec is 517.5mm but mine measure at 542mm & 543mm. I'm just wondering would the spring specs be that far out? btw the drained fluid was approx 300ml with specs being 286ml so for old fluid that sounds about right.

    I would question whether those springs were original. Not that that would be a problem, aftermarket springs do have different rates and lengths than stock.
