I've been thinkin real hard about bobbin out my XJ650, but had a thought about the drive shaft. It seems as though most projects are limited to the length of the drive shaft.

I noticed that the drive shaft universal has a flange at the end of it, and it bolts to the flange thats on the back of the motor, popping out of the trans.

Is it possible to place a spacer between the two flanges of the drive shaft, and the motor, with out a ballance issue?

It would be nice to gain atleast an inch or two between the tank and tire.
