I noticed that the old pilot jets in my XJ550 RH (BS28 carbs) are almost identical to the pilots in my '79 XS650 (BS38 carbs).

Also noticed that the XJ main jets are a dead ringer for the later XS650 mains (BS34 carbs).

EDIT: The removable XJ air jets seen to be identical as the '79 XS BS38 mains. It all seems too easy right? I have plenty of new XS jets in hand.....

Has anyone had success jetting with the very accessable MikesXS Mikuni jets?

Well thats excellent news! I gotta tune for pods and non-original exhaust once I clean these carbs, looks like I already have a few larger sets to play with.....OH CRAP! I just remembered I'll need FOUR jets to a set not TWO! d'oh....well at least I know a reliable place to get em...and some XS650 toys while I'm at it :)
