Winter is finally here and I'll be damned if a little negative degree cold is going to keep me off the road. It was -2 yesterday. (I've put ice tires on a dirt bike for when it snows)

All my gear is great except for my gloves. I stay warm and toasty but about 20 minutes into the ride my hands go completely numb and then begin to hurt.

I need some ideas for good winter gloves I can get on a budget cause the ones I have now just aren't cutting it anymore.

Try picking up some glove liners at a sporting goods store. They don't look like much but are made to retain body heat and some claim to actually increase ambient skin temps. They run anywhere from $15-$45. Lot of boarders and snomobilers use 'em.

I picked up a pair of Gordini down filled gloves.
Got a drawdown over the sleeve that keeps the wind out.

Jeez, how about some 2 litre bottles and some zip ties.
    You gotta improvise some times.

Oh yeah, I'm still wearing shorts.

    Hands down, no contest:

Widder electric gloves. Shoot: I've just read that Widder is out of business, but a good stock of stuff is available here:

Get an electric vest and wiring kit while you are there. Will easily keep you comfortable down to zero.
