I don't know, I think you'd lose the "feel" of the clutch...

I agree with that, however alot of the modern bikes have hydrolic clutches, it can only be better.

I can see it at first being difficult to partially engage the clutch to ease into gear and stuff, but I think you'd get used to it.

Also, if that mc were ever to break, I could always use a cheap quad mc or somethiing and it would probably work better.... I'm really thinking about getting it, if the stainless steel line is long enough

Please Schooter, do it!! And then let us know if it works. I would love to convert my 550 clutch to hydraulic. I've ridden 2 bikes with hydraulic clutches and you still feel where the clutch engages.

First, I'd better replace those worn clutch plates though...

I got to thinking about it guys.....

you could build your own, alot better, and all you need is that end piece that lifts the clutch lever....

but he probably wouldnt sell just that piece.

i'll probably get it, though I would have to sneak it past my parents...like i did my shocks.

I've got some more things to sell on Ebay while up at college,

I had a hydraulic clutch on my '83 nighthawk. It's definitely a different feel. The sport bikes i've ridden all have dry clutches, and you get a better sense of response IMO. But for an XJ maybe it's a good idea if you get it working...

Hey schooter. I only worry about the price (madein china perhaps)being so low. Remember what happened to me when I got my China made brake master cylinder, LOL

Besides. What's wrong with working out your forearms as you shift gears? :D
