ok i am new to the forum and not the best at mechanics, but i acquired a 1981 xj750 maxim. my thought is to put a xj1100 engine and tranny into it. if it works, can i use the carbs, exhuast, driveline, etc. from the 750? or can i put the 1100 top end on a 750 bottom end? trying to get a little more power from the bike :)

No, it won't work without extensive welding and fabrication. [they look the same]

A little more power, like 97 HP.??
Bolt in a Seca 900 motor, if you can find one.

And Welcome to the site Smoky !!
