Fuel Sender Unit

    Pulled the fuel sender unit out of the tank yesterday as the gauge shows full all the time and I was reading an infinite resistance across the contacts.

    Removed the cover from the unit but I think there's meant to be a float somewhere? Couldn't find it in my tank so not sure what's happened to it.

    There should be a thick wire arm with a cylindrical float attached. A PO must have removed it.

    lol. Didn't think of that Kiwi. Might explain the dodgy job with excessive amounts of gasket goo that had run everywhere from a previous attempt at sealing the unit.

    Just another item to add to the nightly litany against previous owners :)
