Sup yo! So I decided after 5 years of the bike just sitting, to begin restoring on my XJ650. So far, starter motor is dead but everything else is in good condition! I attempt to bump start it, some exhaust/starter fluid makes its way out the exhaust, but no start, yet! Anyways, just saying what's up from a new member! Hope to learn a lot of things about my bike on this Forum. If anyone has some good links regarding tips to just getting my bike to run, that would be awesome. Hope to see you all around!

    Cheers!
    Paul

After 5 years of sitting, at very least, I'd consider the fuel, fuel tank and carbs suspect.

    "Sup yo!"

Yo ho ho Paulie! Welcome aboard! Now either you are a pirate or just a younger feller that 's down with the hip urban lingo. In which case I might suggest......

That you hit those carb izzles fo shizzle my nizzle. 5 years of sittin with some stale gas izzle will surely be a cause fo a no start izzle.

    Good luck Chuck
