my only concerns/issues is that the rears still stick out pretty far. at least they look better than the rectangular lights...

Re: the width: In the front, if they're too short they get lost in the headlight and oncoming cars can't distinguish them.

I like them because they're real lights, not weak in the daytime LEDs.

But I like the ones like Dave has too...

    B...

did you reshape your rear mounting bracket to 'narrow' the spread of your rear signals?

in the picture you posted, it almost looks like the stems mount under the seat or behind the plate. mine is obviously wider than the plate. i never thought about taking it in to work and moving the mounting surface inboard...

Yeah I definitely DONT want to go to LED's... not just because of how weak they are in the daytime, but the wiring nightmare that will in sue just doesn't do it for me. I think I'll pick these up... pics to follow... whenever it gets warm enough to work again.

Dave; The 550s are a tad different; the rears mount to tabs that hang down from the frame rails.

The "too wide" appearance was negated by the installation of the luggage rack I do believe.

Early pic (before the rack got installed)

As you can see, they're the same width as the stockers. And BRIGHT.
